Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Berea, Kentucky

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be tasked with reducing costs, increasing productivity, minimizing scrap/rework, and providing essential resources for training and problem-solving. You will support both the Shop Floor and Indirect areas by furnishing proper documentation, tools, and training. Your role involves leading Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing Processes, developing methods, standards, line balances, and line layouts. Additionally, you will support New Product Introductions, analyze, develop, layout, procure, and install equipment and tools for product implementation. You will also determine costs, manufacturability of changes and specials, and work closely with Manufacturing and QA to start up, debug, and verify processes. Utilizing continuous improvement tools such as APQP, you will lead teams in the Research and Development of new manufacturing processes and tooling.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Berea, Kentucky.

Work Environment

The position is based in a typical manufacturing facility, which can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The role operates on a Monday-Thursday work week at least 50% of the time, with occasional work on Fridays and remote work as needed. This is a 1st shift position.
