JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Platform Experience-Groups and Distribution will provide subject matter expertise for the Property Management Systems (PMS) strategy development including system and operational subject matter expertise relating to business processes, operational processes, interfacing enterprise systems, new property openings, conversions, and future acquisitions. This resource will develop and document business processes, operational procedures, policies, and best practices for PMS and participate in requirements, design approvals, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Beta, Pilots, and supporting the deployment of the future PMS/CRS/Sales Systems Operations strategy.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field OR a combination of education and work experience from which comparable knowledge can be gained.

  • 8+ years of Hotel operations experience using property management systems

  • Experience working with external service providers

Preferred

  • Experience working with international teams and supporting operational processes

  • Experience in Sales & Catering tools and/or event management or sales discipline

  • Experience with technology initiatives and processes needed to support delivery and ongoing support

  • Experience with LightSpeed, Opera, FSPMS, and FOSSE, Stay PMS

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Design, develop, and support future PMS/CRS/Sales and Distribution Systems Operations Strategy

  • Provide PMS Subject Matter Expertise

  • Provides subject matter expertise in the future PMS strategy providing system and operational subject matter expertise relating to business processes, operational processes, interfacing enterprise systems, new property openings, conversions, and future acquisitions

  • Participates in the assessment of PMS impact related to new initiatives such as hotel conversions and acquisitions, enhancements to PMS or integration with related programs (e.g. CRS, CI/TY, CTAC, Wholesale Distribution Partners, etc.)

  • Provides operational input into future systems enhancement or integration designs to ensure operational requirements are met effectively

  • Develops and documents business processes, operational procedures, policies, and best practices for PMS

  • Represents the PMS team with Continent IT, Continent Lodging Services (CLS) and Opening and Transitions teams

  • Participates in requirements, design approvals, UAT, Beta, Pilots, and supporting the deployment of this strategy

  • Partners with stakeholders of other disciplines to identify operational needs, review enhancements and/or integration, prioritizing and ensuring that specifications are met

  • Participates in managing and providing subject matter expertise for new initiatives with future PMS system impacts and/or dependencies

  • Provides PMS subject matter expertise and support to new brand acquisitions

  • Partners with Marriott’s Finance Business Partners and Stakeholders

  • Partners with Marriott’s Accounting & Finance Service Providers (Accenture Hospitality Services)

The salary range for this position is $125,600 to $164,500 annually.
