Amazon Manager, WW Digital Transactional Distribution Client Operations, Amazon MGM Studios Distribution in Beverly Hills, California

Amazon MGM Studios Distribution (AMSD) is seeking a Digital Transactional Distribution Client Operations Manager. This position will drive growth and efficiency in our global digital transactional businesses with a focus on optimizing operational release planning for premium windows (PEST and PVOD), traditional home entertainment windows (EST and VOD) across new releases and library content. This role will lead day-to-day operations with touch points to internal creative, licensing, legal and operational teams and key operational contacts for 3P distribution clients. In addition, this role will represent Digital Transactional Distribution business interests in internal future-state systems and process design. This role will also support the development of the US AVOD operational business processes to support and scale the business.

Key job responsibilities

Drive initiatives across international market and global library content expansions, build and implement efficiencies in shared client operational processes, systems and tools.

Support the WW digital transactional (PEST, PVOD, EST, and VOD) and US AVOD home entertainment businesses by collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including Licensing, Legal, Partner Engagement, Contract Services, Creative, and Operations, to align distribution strategies with overall business objectives.

Lead communications for Internal Stakeholders and External Partners to ensure successful launch of New Release Films on WW Digital Transactional Stores (coordinating windows, avails, asset availability, etc.)

Cultivate strong operational relationships with US AVOD clients to ensure that AMSD is optimized for growth and opportunities.

Subject matter expert for AMSD systems integration and design into broader Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video IT infrastructure projects.

A day in the life

Lead day-to-day operations with internal Creative, Licensing, Legal, and Operations teams.

Primary operational point of contact for digital transactional and AVOD partners.

Collaborate with the internal Contract Services and Operations teams to build future state systems and processes to ensure that digital transactional and AVOD business interests are fully met.

Manage ad hoc Partner Ops projects.

Provide guidance and support to team members on project execution and problem-solving.

About the team

Amazon MGM Studios Distribution oversees the licensing of Amazon Studio’s titles, as well as MGM new release and library movies and series such as film franchises James Bond, Rocky and Creed, and series The Handmaid’s Tale, Vikings, and Fargo.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in digital distribution, studio operations, or related fields within the entertainment industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of digital distribution platforms, business models, and industry trends.

  • Experience working with major Digital Transactional Stores or Post-Theatrical Distribution at a Studio.

  • Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow, and technology.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
