Aerotek CDL Driver- Direct Hire Opportunity in Black Mountain, North Carolina

Position: Driver/Material Handler

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate vehicles to transport large materials through mountainous terrains.

  • Complete local deliveries and pickups to and from construction sites.

  • Operate forklifts to unload building materials.

  • Hand-load, unload, stack, and stage products as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of activities, cargo deliveries, and hours logged.

  • Perform vehicle inspections and communicate mechanical issues to management.

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentability of company vehicles.

  • Report road incidents to management and adhere to accident procedures.

  • Follow all DOT, state, and local traffic laws.

  • Use GPS systems to plan routes and ensure timely arrivals.

  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing and reporting any client concerns to management.

  • Mentor or coach junior-level drivers as required.

  • Execute additional reasonable directives and tasks assigned by management.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • Years 30+: 30 days/240 hours.

  • Paid Holidays: 8 holidays, including your birthday, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. (Holiday pay requires working scheduled shifts before and after the holiday or approved PTO time; birthday holidays must be taken within 30 days of the birthdate.)

  • Bereavement Leave: Up to 3 days of paid leave.

Qualifications:

  • Comfort driving through mountainous terrain.

  • Familiarity with forklifts and handling building materials.

  • Strong attention to detail for record keeping and inspections.

  • Knowledge of GPS systems and traffic regulations.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Willingness to mentor junior team members.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
