Job Description

A healthcare client is looking for a highly motivated experienced Data Architect to sit onsite 3 days a week in Bloomfield, CT or Plano, TX. This person will help in the migration of legacy applications on prem to AWS. This person will be working across organizations to minimize data duplication and will engage with business and enterprise architects to create data strategy, vision, and communicate vision into tangible solutions. This person will need to have an understanding of relational, structured/unstructured, and semi-structured data, as well as experience in designing data lakes, data governance, data lineage, and data quality. On a day to day this person will be participating in planning and high-level design of solutions and exploration of solution alternatives. Our client is looking for a leader who will foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams.

Skills and Requirements

Overall 15+ years of experience related to IT delivery and SDLC

5+ years of hands-on experience in technical/solution IT architecture and data management

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree

AWS cloud certified

Ability to design efficient data ingestion, processing and storage, security and advanced analytics on cloud at large scale in real time

Strong knowledge of data warehousing, BI and advance analytics and reporting

Hands-on experience with AWS big data analytics, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, Glue catalog, Athena, Airflow, Databricks, Python, Kafka, Spark and PySpark

Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and Rally Background in healthcare industry null
