An Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This Electrical Engineer role involves designing, coordinating, and supervising complex construction projects, particularly in advanced manufacturing facilities, while ensuring compliance with codes, maintaining high technical quality, and supporting field equipment startups.

responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of complex construction packages including tool installation design.

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks.

  • Gain familiarity with client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks.

  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.

  • Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.

  • May supervise less experienced engineering and design staff.

  • Support senior engineers in the selection and specification of electrical equipment.

Skills:

  • Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards.

  • Working knowledge of CAD and/or BIM modeling software.

  • Experience leading a small team.

  • strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.

  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy from an ABET accredited University.

  • Minimum 6 years of Electrical Engineering experience related to facility engineering.

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) License.

  • Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Familiarity with design and construction specifications.
