We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Boston’s South End. This is a full-time opportunity at a residential property with 149 units of affordable family housing. You will join a team of maintenance professionals whose responsibilities include:

· Performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.

· Completing work orders, light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, and general building maintenance.

· Providing access to and supervising contractors as needed.

· Performing groundskeeping and maintenance of exterior and common areas.

The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with on-call duties shared on rotation.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy.

· Knowledge of general apartment repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC is required.

· Experience with REAC/NSPIRE inspections is preferred.

· Experience with Yardi or other work order systems would also be a plus.

· This position includes participation in the emergency on-call rotation and snow removal.

· A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
