Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Minimum of ten years' experience covering systems administration, network design and administration, telecommunications, DevOps, and service desk/application support leadership. At least five years of management experience, including managing cross functional teams (e.g. network, desktop, applications, DevOps) US citizenship required. Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required. Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included). Experience supporting customer-facing applications and manufacturing environments preferred. Experience supporting custom in-house built customer facing applications. Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. Experience managing department budgets. Ability to coordinate multiple major projects simultaneously, from conception through completion. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication abilities. Must be able to work independently, while meeting internal schedules and deadlines. Must be able to supervise the work of others. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strategic business vision. Summary The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and directs the technological operations and implementation of new IT systems and policies, including the deployment and operations of all BI developed customer facing and manufacturing platforms. Provides direction to the IT teams to ensure systems and staff are effective and functioning within budgeted limits, time and specifications based on requirements, with strong focus on internal and external customer service. Works with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a customer focused service culture. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Director of Information Technology oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals (e.g. platform infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, application support services, networking, security, telecom, desktop support, helpdesk, etc.) Ensures management staff has defined direction and necessary tools to effectively achieve outlined goals. Supports 24x7 operations across three primary locations and satellite offices striving for 99.99% uptime.
