Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions- Recruitment Strategy develops, manages, and participates in student recruitment and enrollment activities. They lead efforts geared towards admission relationships with community stakeholder, prospective students, and campus partners. They set goals, analyze data, and create transfer territory management plans. Assists support of the full territory management team while managing a territory of their own and directing transfer recruitment initiatives. Collaborates with leadership to review and improve student initiatives, recruitment events, and programs. Leads meetings and training opportunities to improve the overall student experience through the admissions process.
Essential Functions
• Assist with the development of the strategic plan to include outreach, recruitment, yield, and assessment for populations at BGSU. Strategy relating to admissions counselor travel, outreach efforts, and weekly meetings is included. This also includes the planning, execution, and oversight for segmented recruitment programs. These activities would include campus visit events, Community College Counselor Day, and off campus programs to attract applications and enroll students at BGSU.
• Works with the Associate Director of Admissions to manage administrative needs of the territory management team. This includes time requests, goal setting, and day-to-day office operations of the team.
• Develops relationships and represents BGSU both on and off campus to promote partnerships that encourage access and create pathways for transfer student recruitment. Foster strong relationships with community-based organizations for admission, scholarships, and campus visits.
• Responsible for giving daily presentations to prospective students/guests visiting BGSU. Create positive environment with visitors and ensure they have a productive and successful visit to campus. • Uses territory management approach to manage a recruitment territory and meet enrollment goals. Visit secondary institutions and/or community colleges, manage, and plan programs in territory and participate in on or off campus recruitment events. Must evaluate inquiry and applicant data using our CRM to drive recruitment decisions and tactics. Communicates with prospects and applicants while also creating and maintaining contact with alumni, school personnel, and families in territory. Provide telephone and email communication and counseling to prospective students on all related admissions and/or enrollment questions.
• Leads trainings and mentoring efforts for necessary Office of Admissions employees on processes and procedures. This includes applicant file review, systems, and other admission counselor job responsibilities. This pertains to onboarding and ongoing growth/development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
