Painter & Decorator

Location: Brighton with travel required other sites in the South East

Salary: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year (based on experience)

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This role requires you to use your own vehicle to travel to and from site.

We are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team. You will be responsible for the interior upkeep of our Specialist Services, applying paint and other finishes to various surfaces, within the common spaces internally, including residents' common areas, bedrooms, and facilities. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful spaces. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks

  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers

  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades

  • Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or damage

  • Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Maintain your tools and equipment in good working condition

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects

  • Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Painter/Decorator or similar role

  • Excellent knowledge of painting techniques and materials

  • Familiarity with different types of paints and finishes

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time

  • Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
