Job Title: Clinical Supervisor

Department: Family Link Plus - FTR

Reports to: FTR Program Director

Location: Hybrid, field work in the Bronx required

Salary Range: $72,000 - $78,000*

*New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.

Position Overview:

The Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Preventive Services (FTR) is an innovative program that provides home-based therapeutic case management and advocacy services to keep children in at-risk families safe and keep families together. The Clinical Supervisor will provide support to a unit of case planners, case aides and family advocates focused on assessing children's safety, addressing families’ needs, and formulation of service plan and treatment strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervisors will ensure that Case Planners and Case Aides/Family Advocates meet with assigned families for the required amount of visits as stated in the FTR Model.

  • Ensure that Case Planners’ progress notes, Family Assessment Service Plans (FASP) and assessments are entered in a timely manner.

  • Provide individual weekly and group supervision to CP’s and Case Aide to assess any safety/risk to the children and will provide staff with a framework for next steps.

  • Document monthly supervisory progress notes into Connections (CNNX) timely. Document individual supervisory logs which focuses on staff development and encompasses the coaching methodology of the program.

  • Comply with NYC Children’s Services Standards and Indicators for Purchased Preventive Services and duties outlined in Program Manual.

  • Provide ongoing quality assurance regarding documentation and charts.

  • Facilitate and participate in Family Team Conferences.

  • Attend bi-weekly supervisory sessions with the Director, monthly staff and supervisory meetings, and other job-related meetings/trainings, including in-service annual trainings.

  • Provide field supervision on an ongoing basis and, as needed, per the needs of the family and the program. This may include home visits.

  • Complete performance appraisals in a timely manner for current staff and participate in the hiring process for new staff.

  • Maintain documentation and produce paperwork/reports as required for city, state, and agency accountability in a timely and complete manner.

  • Serve as a liaison with community resources and will act as program representative at certain community meetings as well as provide community outreach and attend community events

  • Assist your team with intake and crisis response services and work flexible hours, as required, and may be asked to cover cases, in times of crisis/staff shortages.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual and bi-cultural candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • MSW or an equivalent human services graduate degree;

  • At least two years of relevant child welfare experience.

  • Supervisory experience is preferred, although not necessary

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct home visits to support staff or cover cases as needed based on client and staffing needs.

  • Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets or bend and stoop as necessary.

  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift office supplies, materials and equipment up to 25lbs.
