Technical Trainer
Responsible for training our construction equipment mechanics, and generator technicians company-wide. Including training on fundamentals, new advances in the field, best repair/troubleshooting practices, etc.
This position can be based out of any of our locations:
Newington, CT, Poughkeepsie, NY, Medford, NY, Bronx, NY, Holtsville, NY, Bloomingburg, NY
Pay : $75,000-$100,000/year (depending on prior relevant experience)
Bonus Potential: 15%

Key qualifications :
Strong technical acumen required, experience as a Technician in diesel engine, construction equipment, electric power generation, or similar areas – CAT specific technical knowledge highly preferred
Experience in designing and delivering training
Strong communication, presentation, writing, analysis, & organizational skills are required
Proficiency in PC use, including MS Office & ability to learn new PC Applications is required
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regularly, (some overnight)
Ensure identified technical training is delivered in a way that contributes to the technical proficiency of H.O. Penn's technician workforce
Personally facilitate/deliver identified scheduled classes, otherwise ensure delivery
Assist Training Manager with development of training calendar/schedule in a timely manner
Plan and coordinate training events to assure appropriate training is delivered in an effective and efficient manner
Collaborate with Technical Training Manager, Service Departments and Training Administrator to finalize class rosters on an on-going basis
Support on-going development of service departments for growth and stability
Assist training manager in the technician (technical) evaluation process to identify training gaps and the development of individual (prioritized) training plans for each technician based on evaluation results
Collect technician effectiveness data and assess technician capability (through on the job observation, supervisor feedback, or other means)
Stay abreast of CAT training offerings via DPC (Online or ILT) and other non-CAT training offerings, which may add value to the organization
Keep informed with New Product Updates and send relevant information to the appropriate individuals or groups within the organization
Assist in the overall growth and maintenance of H.O. Penn as an industry leader/technical resource
Become and remain a Technical expert/resource for H.O. Penn
Conduct customer training as required
Ensure all equipment (electrical, electronics, mechanical, etc.) required for training is available and up-to-date
Contribute to the technical recruitment effort by capitalizing on relationships with Technical/Vocational schools
Qualifications:
