Description of Duties:

-Provide HIV rapid testing to youth in community-based settings. Escort HIV+ youth to HEAT for clinical services -Expand Heat's off-site HIV testing to include new testing venues targeting youth. Maintain and enhance existing HIV testing sites -Increase HIV testing at current HIV testing locations. Provide HIV testing at all of HEAT's large scale HIV testing events -Collaborate with local schools to integrate HIV rapid testing into health education programs. Partner with youth-oriented community organizations to host HIV testing events -Train peer educators within the youth community to conduct outreach and promote HIV testing. Utilize social media platforms to raise awareness about HIV testing and available services -Offer incentives or rewards for youth who participate in HIV testing programs. Develop mobile HIV testing units to reach youth in underserved areas -Implement online scheduling systems for HIV testing appointments to improve accessibility -Offer pre-test counseling and post-test support services for youth undergoing HIV testing -Provide culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+-friendly HIV testing services to ensure inclusivity -Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness and reach of HIV testing initiatives.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Some college, Associate level degree preferred Knowledge of HIV testing in youth Familiarity with LGBTQ+ youth services in Brooklyn PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree Prior experience providing HIV testing for youth
