Salary Range:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $6 5,954 - $7 8,079 (TA)

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $7 6,577 - $8 5,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $8 6,565 - $1 12,083 (TA)

Responsibilities : The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting all of MOWs Operating subdivisions and ad hoc MOW special projects. They will coordinate, schedule, and review the annual Track Capital Program, recurring maintenance, track access for all MOW projects, liaises and coordinate with Operations Planning, and handle all emergency track access requests. They are involved in producing, reviewing, and coordinating Asset Management initiatives, including preparing remediation spreadsheets, KPI and PPR reports, organizing visualization meetings, and the managing of the critical asset database.

This position is responsible for supporting all of MOWs Operating subdivisions and ad hoc MOW special projects. It coordinates, schedules, and reviews the annual Track Capital Program and recurring maintenance, manages track access for all MOW projects, liaises and coordinates with Operations Planning, and handles all emergency track access requests.

This position is involved in producing, reviewing, and coordinating Asset Management Initiatives, including analyzing failure data, preparing asset remediation spreadsheets, producing KPI and PPR reports, organizing visualization meetings, and managing of critical asset database.

Education and Experience :

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

  1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  3. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  4. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills :

  • Knowledge of NYCT Subway

  • Proficiency with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau etc.)

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access)

  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.

  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction

  • Ability to read maps and technical drawings

  • Excellent written, verbal, spatial, and interpersonal skills

    Selection Method :

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
