Responsibilities

Oversee large, complex engineered-to-order projects, managing operations, compliance, production schedules, quality control, logistics, safety, and team leadership. Drive efficiency and productivity through strong leadership and manufacturing expertise at the manufacturing site level.

This is a field based position where the Site Manager visits multiple third-party manufacturing sites to ensure progress and compliance to the build schedules. The role entails a great amount of autonomy, skill and travel.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

  • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company’s Security, Compliance & HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices and complies with the Company’s Rules to Live By

  • Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers or the communities in which we live and work at risk

  • Seeks continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and best business practices to exceed customer expectations

  • Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises

    QUALITY

  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System

  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

  • Keep traceability documentation of the units been produced.

    OPERATIONS

  • Oversee all manufacturing operations at suppliers, integrators and manufacturing sites.

  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules.

  • Monitor production metrics and improve efficiency.

  • Mitigate project risks and maintain project procedures.

  • Track procurement activities and support forecasting.

  • Manage strategic inventory for production build and communicate status to management.

  • Coordinate stock issues and outages.

  • Attend production meetings to provide detailed updates on the plan and manage promise dates.

  • Review customer requirements with upper management & GeoZones and convey promise dates.

  • Set and maintain product-planning fields in ERP system.

  • Ability to monitor and manage load vs. capacity to maintain efficient business practices and workload to third-party vendors/fabricators.

  • Manage with purchasing & upper management the authorized vendor list and support the development of new vendors.

    COMMUNICATION

  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

  • Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

  • Represent the project in reviews and meetings.

  • Communicate project expectations and secure approvals for changes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for continual improvement.

  • Advise on project status, risks, and forecasts.

  • Communicate with the Project Manager & Engineering about technical requirements and design challenges during the fabrication process.

  • Communicate with production supervisors, vendors & fabricators to determine the status of production orders.

    FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

    PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience

  • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

  • Supervisors are expected to actively engage their employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities

  • Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce

  • Demonstrates leadership, ethical behavior and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times

  • Lead project teams through the project lifecycle from tendering though testing & delivery.

  • Present project status to senior management.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

  • University Degree/Diploma & 4-6 yrs experience

  • May have Master’s/Grad Degree & 2-4 yrs experience

  • Doctorate’s/Post-Grad Degree & 0-2 yrs experience

  • QBE - Qualified by Experience

    PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 15+ years in engineered-to-order manufacturing management.

  • 10+ years in PMO and project staff management.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    REQUIRED

  • Proficient in project cost control, planning, and scheduling.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean principles.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets and meet tight deadlines.

    PREFERRED

  • PMP certification

    Travel Requirement:

    This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 50-75%
