The Quality Engineering team works in partnership with other functions in Technology & the business to deliver quality products by providing software testing services and quality assurance that continuously improve our customer’s ability to succeed. The Impact

You will ensure the quality of our deliverables meets and exceeds the expectations of all stakeholders and evangelize the established quality standards and processes. Your challenge will be reducing the “the time to market” for products without compromising the quality, by leveraging technology and innovation. You will strive to achieve personal objectives and contribute to the achievement of team objectives, by working on problems of varying scope where analysis of situations and/or data requires a review of a variety of factors. This role is essential for the Market Intelligence division of S&P as it ensures the development of new software solutions and continuous improvement and stability of our existing applications. This role will enable our clients with a seamless user experience and access to up-to-date data, ultimately bolstering their confidence in our services and reinforcing our competitive position in the market.

Responsibilities

Knowledge:

  • Review and analyze complex quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.

  • Produce reports, communications, and quality assurance training materials.

  • Aid in the development of new products services or technologies.

  • Design, develop and integrate quality assurance and metrics architecture roadmaps/systems.

  • Solve complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues.

  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas.

Job Complexity:

  • Use and implement QA tools to automate the process and implement performance tests.

  • Solve a range of routine to complex problems and determine possible solutions weighing the costs and benefits.

  • Solve problems with minimal oversight or interaction on routine work and with detailed instructions on new work assignments.

  • Contribute to the achievement of team and QA and metrics architecture objectives.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation.

Supervisor/ Mentoring:

  • Work within own team and other teams.

  • Network with senior internal and external personnel in areas of expertise.

Tech Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of QA and metrics architecture processes.

  • Working to proven knowledge of using recognized test methodologies and techniques, risk-based testing, test early/test often, considers using experience and user's business domain.

  • Ability to work with one or more high-level programming languages or technologies and understand the SDLC and agile methodologies.

  • Ability to utilize one or more test frameworks or tools used. Also is developing effective design and use of different types of testing.

  • Working test management and applies appropriate change and environment management and accurate reporting on software quality.

Culture:

  • Ability to explain complex, difficult, and or sensitive information, and work to build consensus.

  • Develop and support company values and understand behaviors to validate when needed.

Experience:

Master's degree preferred and/or bachelor's degree in a technology-related field. 3 - 5 years of related experience, with an advanced degree preferred.
