Citigroup Team Lead – Sourcing Services EMEA (maternity cover) in Budapest, Hungary

Team/Role Overview

Through managing the day-to-day processes, Citi’s Sourcing Services Team plays a pivotal role in supporting Citi’s mission. We are seeking a maternity cover Team Lead to join our dynamic team. Your job will be focused on managing a smaller team that is responsible for making sure our third-party contracts are properly documented and comply with Citi’s standards. Besides your direct team members you will also work closely together with category sourcing managers on any upcoming issues.

What you’ll do

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established personal and team goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions).

  • Manage data quality for Third-party contracts.

  • Work with Sourcing Managers to keep contract standards and quality.

  • Manage requests for proposal, eAuction, supplier negotiations, financial analysis, and contract administration.

  • Analyse supplier proposals to identify savings, commitments, and opportunities as well as work with suppliers to measure/track performance and reporting requirements.

  • Communicate with stakeholders to reduce the total cost of ownership of the procurement process as well as plan and negotiate agreements to minimize risk and exposure, and provide optimal terms and conditions.

  • Participate in various projects (e.g. enhancement of the current sourcing tools, take part in testing and implementation.

  • Contribute to corporate initiatives including approved supplier program, diversity spend program, service excellence, procure-to-pay program and achieving annual measurement goals.

  • Liaise with sourcing team, legal, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure all audit guidelines are met and adherence to Citi processes and procedures is achieved.

What we’ll need from you

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in an operational environment, preferably in Supply Chain Sourcing

  • Knowledge of contract and vendor management

  • Experience in working within the parameters of set policies and procedures in a large multinational firm, preferably as a people manager

  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent English skills (both verbal and written)

  • Proven assertive communication
