Summary:
The Vascular and Podiatry Manager is responsible for daily operational management of vascular and podiatry services in the hospitals, including inpatient provider coverage, schedules, on-call responsibilities, and ambulatory clinics. The position is responsible for the management and supervision of the Vascular and Podiatry Services at Sisters of Charity Hospital, working closely with the Vascular and Podiatry System Director and Medical Directors. Ensure call coverage for vascular services at SOCH - Main St and SJC, KMH, MSM, and LMH; podiatry call coverage at SOCH and KMH. Works with clinic physician to ensure provider productivity and operational assistance. Hires, mentors, and utilizes resources in outpatient setting, including collaboration with vascular surgery residents and fellows and podiatric residents. Adheres to quality standards, patient safety and satisfaction. The Vascular and Podiatry Manager is responsible for system vascular and podiatry practices to provide standardization, cohesion and operational improvements. The Vascular and Podiatry Manager is responsible for the coordination of quality data collection in collaboration with system quality department and ambulatory clinic providers and staff to ensure compliance with quality metrics as required by national and regional accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
BA or BS Degree with a minimum (2) years Medical Practice Management or supervisory experience required
In lieu of above degree, will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of Medical Practice Management Experience
EXPERIENCE
Minimum three (3) years Practice Management Experience in Medical Practice environment
Knowledge of NYS Department of Health Regulations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Proven leadership ability, Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making
Knowledge of inpatient medical practices and reimbursement policies
Knowledge of computer systems and applications
Project development and exceptional understanding of medical practice operations
Work experience demonstrative of exceptional operational knowledge and leadership skills
Ability to view operation from beginning to end as well as provide ongoing support for associated participants
Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with physicians, administrators, patients, and associates
Ability to function effectively within a team
Ability to create an atmosphere which encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional travel to clinic site, on site mentoring of associates, and frequent travel to meetings
