Shifts : 6am - 2:30pm, and 2PM - 10:30PM
Responsibilities
Under moderate supervision, the Maintenance Technician / Sanitation Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment within the warehouse and facility. This position involves performing general maintenance, sanitation duties, and supporting operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Performs general maintenance tasks such as minor drywall construction, plumbing, and painting (interior and exterior).
Repairs and constructs office furniture, equipment, walls, partitions, and building components to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Assists with outside building maintenance contractors for the entire facility and upkeep of the grounds (e.g., ice and snow removal).
Keeps the warehouse clean and free of debris, performing various sanitation duties as assigned by site leadership.
Performs general housekeeping duties, including common areas such as restrooms, lobby, and lunchroom; operates floor scrubber machines.
Develops preventative maintenance schedules and spare-parts requirements for assigned systems and equipment.
Maintains accurate equipment records and work entry logs.
Conducts daily safety checks, including weekly eye wash station inspections and sprinkler room test valve inspections.
Manages forklift equipment batteries and battery changing, ensuring proper maintenance of the battery area.
Operates tools, gauges, and meters associated with maintenance and sanitation tasks.
Learns and applies sanitation and general warehouse best practices, working independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and local building codes.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
Advanced ability in one of the following trades customarily acquired through vocational technical education and/or formal apprenticeship programs: electrical repairs, inspecting work of subcontractors, sheet metal work, pneumatic repairs, and computer knowledge of control heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
Experience operating forklifts and floor scrubbers.
Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with local building codes and OSHA regulations.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Proficiency in using email and other basic computer tools.
Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the location.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with minimal supervision.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $13.00/hour to $16.00/hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
