Futurex In-House Legal Counsel, Contracts Specialist in Bulverde, Texas
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel, Contracts Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law and bring expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts across various business areas. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering timely and accurate legal advice to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other legal documents.
Provide legal counsel and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual risks, obligations, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment with organizational policies.
Assist in the development and maintenance of contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
Handle disputes or issues arising from contractual agreements, working to resolve matters efficiently.
Requirements
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Bar in Texas, in good standing.
Minimum 5 years of experience in contract law, preferably in an in-house legal environment or a corporate setting.
Proven ability to manage a high volume of contracts with varying levels of complexity.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in contract management software is a plus.
