In this role, you will lead CAE’s efforts to attract, engage and hire top talent in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region. You will lead cross-border teams of Talent Acquisition (TA) professionals in charge of filling a variety of positions by establishing targeted strategies to attract the best talent in the market. You will spearhead recruitment strategies, programs, and initiatives to meet the organization’s objectives while ensuring that the team provides a first-rate experience for both candidates and hiring managers. In partnership with the various internal teams, you will design and deploy the strategy to promote CAE’s employer brand, the continuous improvement of processes and the implementation of various innovative programs and practices to drive market visibility and attracting talent.

This role requires a collaborative leader and change agent capable of building strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders, driving transformation, leveraging data-driven insights, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the talent attraction and recruitment practice for the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth;

  • Accountable for the delivery of all vacancies across the EMEA regions (30+ countries and entities)

  • Develop and implement a robust TA strategy, best practices, and efficient processes throughout the full recruitment phase while optimizing the use of technology;

  • Develop, mentor and lead a high-performing TA team, ensuring their agility in meeting business needs across all levels of seniority;

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture;

  • Partner with the global TA leadership team to drive synergies across all regions with regards to processes, tools, ressources and platforms.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to design and deploy innovative visibility and attraction strategies for targeted talent communities, eg: Instructor pilots and tech talent;

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs, support their goals, and serve as a trusted advisor;

  • Effectively manage the TA budget by developing strong business cases, strategically investing to optimize recruitment costs, and ensuring high-quality hires;

  • Partner with employer branding, marketing and communications teams to develop and promote CAE’s employer’s brand, culture and EVP, while ensuring its consistent use and market reach;

  • Develop and implement the strategy to maximize the use of social media to gain visibility and create impact for the organization. Maintain and continuously assess the channels and methods for attracting, engaging and screening new candidates;

  • Leverage and enhance technology, data and AI to improve stakeholder experience, steer teams and make informed decisions based on insights;

  • Provide quarterly reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership;

  • Represent CAE at various forums to promote partnerships, ensure that CAE is well represented at key industry events and on various campuses;

  • Establish early careers programmes across Europe – apprenticeships, internships, and student employment.

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technology, market challenges, and best practices;

  • Ensure compliance with local, regional and federal regulations in all markets;

  • Establish and manage relations with various service providers related to talent acquisition;

  • Implement and participate in various initiatives to influence diversity, equity, and inclusion in our talent acquisition process.

    Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or in a related field;

  • At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition for positions of all levels, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably having led international teams;

  • Well-versed in the european talent market;

  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, promoting teamwork and collaboration;

  • Demonstrates collaborative leadership, a global mindset and fosters an inclusive work environment;

  • Proficiently acts as a change agent and spearheads transformative projects, seamlessly uniting teams and stakeholders;

  • Proven track record of developing and deploying innovative recruitment practices;

  • Capacity to leverage data insights in guiding decision making and continuous improvement;

  • Strong understanding of recruitment technology, tools and social media as a recruitment source;

  • Capability to develop and promote CAE’s employer brand and EVP in the market;

  • Ability to guide, coach and train various stakeholders in talent acquisition;

  • Strong analytical skills, problem solver, and results-driven;

  • Shows sound judgment, political acumen and tact;

  • Energetic and sense of urgency, ability to meet tight deadlines and high expectations;

  • Experience implementing programs supporting workforce diversity, equity and inclusion;

  • Experience working in a recruitment agency and/or as a head hunter; Industry/corporate experience is an asset;
