Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Monday – Thursday 8AM-5PM and Friday 8AM-3PM

The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist is responsible for credentialing of Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals, files maintenance, meeting preparations, emergency call schedules, assists with training/education and all other functions of the Medical Staff Services Department.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Performs all clerical duties related to Board of Director appointments/reappointments.

· Monitors expirable credentials of all Medical and Allied Health staff and ensures appropriate documentation is obtained.

· Helps to analyze and review data, pull reports as necessary.

· Assist with process improvement of tasks, responsibilities.

· Manages the Physician Portal and Intranet with updated information.

· Assigns and maintains iConnect request forms, access codes and training requires for the iConnect system on all Medical Staff physicians, medical office staff and Allied Health Professionals and notification to appropriate personnel of these requests.

· Proficient in utilization of the Medical Staff database and producing reports as needed.

· Ensures The Joint Commission requirements are met regarding Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE).

· Timely and efficiently handles requests and/or questions via phone, email or in person with a focus on customer satisfaction.

· Notifies appropriate personnel/department(s) of any changes regarding Medical or Allied Health Staff contact information and/or privileges.

· Adheres to strict confidentiality requirements.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

· HS or GED

· Twelve (12) months hospital credentialing experience.

Preferred qualifications:

· Certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services

Experience with MSOW Credentialing Software
