OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

To manually assemble high precision components and VSR balance the CHRA element of a turbo in line with established ouput, safety and quality standards. The duties include following established manufacturing procedures, collecting the materials needed to assemble products and ensuring the correct fitting of all parts.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION – TASK RELATED

  • Determine availability of materials and tools.

  • Set up all parts necessary for production

  • Follow technical instructions and build sheets to assemble parts and products.

  • Use tools and machinery to position, align, join, and test components.

  • Read and confirm the parts list, measurements and verify specifications.

  • Operate all assembly tools and equipment safely

  • Adhere to health and safety requirements of the company and follow established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.

  • Assemble turbo/core components in an accurate and timely manner

  • Use specialist machinery to balance assembled cores to required specifications

  • Conduct quality control checks and test finished products for defects.

  • Report progress, issues, and suggestions to supervisors or managers.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and resolve minor issues or escalate issues to supervision appropriately.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and report/resolve assembly issues.

  • Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work area.

  • Record non-conforming components

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment, as well as perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods.
