financial data? We are looking for an individual to join our dynamic finance team as we boost

Splunk’s fast growing business. Candidates will have outstanding partnership and

communication skills, be able to balance multiple priorities, and handle the ambiguity that comes

in a dynamic organization.

Reporting to the Sr Director Finance, this FP&A Manager is an excel expert who will build functional spend models and apply heavy data analytics to understand core inputs to influence and shape strategy. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a key FP&A business partner supporting Splunk’s world-class organization.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Establish positive relationships and become a strategic advisor for key engineering leaders and their respective teams allowing you to build a nuanced understanding of data inputs and outputs

  • Roll up your sleeves and assist in developing annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly financial forecasts, and ongoing analysis of actuals versus plan and/or forecast

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting dashboards for Executives -analyze results, distill/synthesize business performance indicators/metrics, assess business risk and operating performance, and timely communicate risks and opportunities to management

  • Build and maintain detailed financial and operating models to help predict future performance, perform scenario analyses, and guide the business on strategic decisions

  • Understand and manage Product P&L’s and Corporate Reporting requirements

  • Identify and drive optimization of financial performance through process improvement recommendations, influence leadership consensus, and implement solutions across the organization

  • Engage with management to model investment analyses and support contract negotiations for major expenditures. Additionally, review purchase requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial plan

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

  • 8 years of experience as an FP&A Analyst/Sr Analyst/Manager supporting a product organization and Corporate Finance

  • This role is for doers; be able to get into the details and get the job done while understanding the big picture

  • Demonstrated success in developing and applying Finance concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Outstanding forecasting methods and techniques.

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative abilities with an emphasis on accuracy.

  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of communicating complex financial information in an easy to understand format. Able to interact comfortably with the executive management team

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay flexible through growth and change

  • Enjoys a highly collaborative environment with a high growth, start-up mentality

  • Outstanding software and system skills with advanced Microsoft Excel a must

  • Experience with SAP, Tableau, Oracle and Anaplan are a plus

  • Experience and understanding of the SaaS business model

  • Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed

Education and Experience: Got it!

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or related relevant areas

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $118,800.00 - 163,350.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $105,600.00 - 145,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
