About The Role:
As a CBRE Building Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the timely completion of all budgeted projects and the handling of day-to-day issues for the department ensuring that Brookfield Place Calgary is maintained to a Class ‘A’ standard at all times.
This position requires an individual with superior customer service, organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be professional and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
What You'll Do:
Effective management of the Building Service staff
Oversee the coordination of routine and preventative minor maintenance on building finishes, fixtures, amenities, and equipment done internally or externally
Ensure jobs are scheduled with contractors, completed to satisfaction, and properly invoiced for in alignment with AP deadlines and requirements
Administer expenses for the department by managing select accounts inline with the prepared budget Monitoring turnaround times, actions, responses, and frequency of tenant and department requests through the Angus platform
Produce accurate and organized reports and or summaries on department related items in a timely manner
Assist in preparing documentation for building certifications and code required reviews
Ensure department inspections are complete in full with remediation on actionable items
Maintain proper inventory levels and control measures while ensuring storage spaces are safe and organized
Coordinate and maintain department Work Authorization & Safe Work Permits
Identify hazards and ensuring department work is practiced in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures including the execution and collection of JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis)
Participate in emergency response and fire alarm procedures
Assist with tenant and building events through coordinating the Building Service Departments’ responsibilities
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
Flexibility with working hours is required, including occasional overtime
Updating and maintaining standard operating procedures for the Building Services team
Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
