Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will perform basic building services duties for the property requiring daily interaction with customers and service providers, which demands an individual that consistently demonstrates empathy and courtesy to the customers’ needs. This position at times will require some physical activity, such as lifting of boxes, pulling carts and deliveries throughout the towers. Flexible hours are required in this role with occasional weekends or evenings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting Building Service staff with handyman type duties such as ceiling tile replacements, door repairs.

• Moving and setting up décor, stages, and other equipment.

• Provide support and coverage with preventative maintenance and tenant requests.

• Updating base building inventory and inventory list.

• Embody and support Brookfield Properties’ Safety, Health, and Environment Policy.

• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.

• Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.

• Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviors are unsafe.

• Immediately report SH&E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions , and/or at-risk behaviors to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.

• Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.

• Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.

• Completion of other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS:

This position requires an individual with superior customer service and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Previous experience in customer services

• Experience with basic tools and equipment

• Familiar with computers/smartphones

EDUCATION / DESIGNATIONS / LICENSES:

• Strong written and verbal communications skills
