YMCA of the Chesapeake Campaign Coordinator in Cambridge, Maryland

Position Overview:

The Campaign Coordinator provides all administrative support for the Campaign for Grade Level Reading and supports all related initiatives and activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Campaign coalition into achieving the Measures of Performance and Expected Activities associated with the Campaign backbone support strategy.
  2. Oversee meeting management (coordinate all working meetings, calendar invites and live/virtual platforms, develop agendas, record meeting minutes, and synchronize schedules).
  3. Assist with ensuring committees are well-represented, organized, and attended.
  4. Support committee leaders with needed administrative support.
  5. Collect and coordinate information across Campaign partners, manage data, and ensure Campaign scorecard is updated and completed.

  6. Assist with marketing and public relations strategies, specifically manage the Campaign website, social media platforms, community outreach efforts, and publish quarterly newsletters.

  7. Support and assist Director of Programs with managing strategic Campaign priorities.
  8. Contribute to grant funding applications as needed.
  9. Present on the Campaign (to Campaign partners, LVWA Board, community supporters, et cetera) as needed.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  1. Must understand - and be dedicated to - the mission of the YMCA and the Campaign
  2. for Grade Level Reading.
  3. Must have strong administrative experience and interest; and some experience with
  4. program design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation (MandE).
  5. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Recommended.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in project management.
  2. Prior experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, and/or Resource
  3. Development.
  4. Prior experience in data collection, statistics, MandE.
  5. Experience:
  6. Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience required, with experience working in
  7. low-income communities.
  8. Experience living and/or working on the Eastern Shore, MD, and a valid driver's license with good driving record.

Education:

BA or BS preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered. Graduation from high school, or GED required.
