Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Canton, OH. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and is for the 1st shift, from 7 AM to 3 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines with live tooling to manufacture components.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and program CNC machines with live tooling to manufacture components.

• Help grow the CNC manufacturing department.

• Run 5-axis mills and machines such as Doosans, Pumas, and Prototraks.

• Machine various metals such as copper, brass, and stainless steel.

• Perform conversational programming.

• Utilize G&M code with MasterCam software.

• Read blueprints.

• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for tolerance.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing, preferably with vertical machining centers, mills, and lathes.

• Experience with 5-axis machines; Doosan/Puma experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in machine setups, programming, edits, changeovers, and tooling.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Proficiency in precision measuring using calipers and micrometers.

• Knowledge of G&M code.

• Conversational programming skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software.

• Leadership or supervisory experience to train other CNC operators.

• Experience with ProtoTrak machine/programming.

Work Environment

Enjoy a great work environment that is climate-controlled, clean, and very safe. The facility is quiet with a family feel, boasting only 24 employees. We have recently purchased two brand-new machines (one mill and one lathe) and are looking for someone to run both. The position is for the 1st shift only, with flexible starting times between 5 AM and 7 AM until 3 PM, along with 5-10 hours of overtime and only 3-5 Saturdays per year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
