Robert Half Cyber Security Engineer in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Description We are in search of a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In this role, you will be part of an import/export industry, focusing on the security of our networks and systems. You will be tasked with monitoring for breaches, implementing security protocols, and assisting with device hardening and vulnerability remediation. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the network to identify any potential security breaches.

• Conduct comprehensive investigations in the event of any security violations.

• Develop and put into action security protocols, processes, and applications to protect company data and applications.

• Keep a vigilant eye for security-related events to ensure protection against unauthorized access.

• Generate detailed security reports for management and security committee.

• Collaborate with technology services to assist in device hardening, vulnerability remediation, and addressing security violations.

• Conduct regular testing, including process reviews and penetration testing, to assess the company's compliance with the predefined security roadmap.

• Utilize FortiGate, Fortinet Firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager skills to enhance network security. Requirements • Proficiency in operating and managing FortiGate security appliances

• Demonstrated experience with Fortinet Firewalls

• Ability to configure and troubleshoot FortiAnalyzer for network visibility

• Skilled in using FortiManager for centralized management of security devices

• Strong understanding of import/export industry's unique cyber security needs

• Familiarity with international data protection regulations and compliance

• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and risks in network systems

• Capable of designing and implementing cyber security strategies tailored to business needs

• Proven track record in responding to and managing security incidents

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical staff

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Relevant detail oriented certifications in cyber security would be advantageous Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
