UNUM Campus Operations Support Manager in Carlow, Ireland

To continue this trajectory, we’re searching for a highly qualified Campus Operations Support Manager to work closely with our leadership team. From day one, this person will have an immediate impact on our productivity, employee engagement and campus operating systems by coordinating & streamlining initiatives, overseeing project and program management, ensuring the efficient and timely flow of information and insights to teams. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business management role, with a special focus on delivery of people and campus level initiatives and interdepartmental collaboration.

Objectives of this role

  • Oversee campus operations business initiatives, from ideas through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership.

  • Assist and communicate with local leadership in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.

  • Review, design, and execute improvements to the operating structure; find knowledge, skills and insight gaps and help address them.

  • Provides programmatic oversight and leadership to campus engagement and culture initiatives with a passion for people, outcomes, and momentum.

  • Provide skillful oversight and leadership to campus projects and initiatives.

  • Manage key external relationships and stakeholders that provide services and support the operational running of the campus.

  • Ensure campus budget, governance and financial process are fully optimized.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison with teams, senior leaders, regarding company culture, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning. Providing hands on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor progress. Identifying areas of improvement across the organization and making actionable recommendations.

  • Oversee daily campus co-ordination in collaboration with senior managers and department leaders, and ensuring follow ups are actioned & communicated.

  • Campus Insights and data support for leadership and management

  • Industry and campus datasets

  • Industry insights program – bring external in

  • Occupancy Data & Management

  • Invoice and spend optimization insights.

  • Ensuring compliance with Corporate Governance requirements, planning and coordinating annual corporate meetings, maintaining records, and submitting required fillings.

  • Ensuring local campus vendor management relationships are optimized.

  • Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, help define new operational strategies by working with leadership on special projects.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications.

  • Focus on internal and external operational processes and procedures with a continuous improvement mindset to enhance the operating model and performance, in addition to optimizing the organizational procedures increasing efficiency and productivity.

Required skills and qualifications.

  • Seven or more years of experience in a business management or executive role

  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.

  • Experience in planning and leading initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field

  • Experience in data analysis and budget management.

  • Consulting experience, with a focus on operations management

  • Proven success in a project coordination role

  • Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions.

  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
