Job Title: Civil 3D DrafterJob Description

You will work with the Project Manager in the creation of project designs from start to finish, including conceptual/master planning and design. You will also be part of the development, planning, and creation of documents addressing details such as layouts, grading, utilities, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, roadways, water resources, and regulatory compliance. Essential functions also include providing technical support to civil engineers and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects, including the review and approval of documentation to remain compliant with company and client standards and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Creating 3D surfaces

• Correcting redlines on plans from commissions

• Utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D for project designs

• Plan checking documents

• Providing technical support to civil engineers

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and client standards

• Managing project deadlines and multitasking

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in Civil Drafting

• Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D (2018 or newer)

• Experience working successfully in a team environment

• Experience hitting project deadlines and multitasking

• Some experience in land development

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Land Development experience

• EIT certification

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, land planning, land development, grading, utilities engineering, or stormwater management design

• Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience with project management and client relations

The team is composed of 20 employees, including one part-time apprentice, distributed across two offices. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with the flexibility to start early if necessary.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
