IQVIA Field Service Technician in Carlsbad, California

Job Overview

Technicians will be tasked with troubleshooting, repairing, and updating new or currently in use medical devices.

Current product lines being supported are medical devices and equipment such as pumps, beds, lab equipment, and similar products used in various healthcare settings.

Essential Functions

• Assist biomedical or field service staff with organizing, testing, and updating new or currently in use medical devices in the hospital setting.

• Perform tests on equipment utilizing proprietary software programs.

• Un-box medical devices from shipping or storage containers.

• Manually move/carry medical devices.

• Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations.

• Install and configure hardware, software and network products.

• Conduct routine checks and records data from product test after installation and configuration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience as an electronics technician or similar background is required Req And

• Prior experience as a Device Technician within a hospital is preferred. Pref

• Intermediate computer skills required (must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system)

• Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices

• Experience within the healthcare setting is desired

• Experience in electronics, computer technology, or networking desired

• Experience in maintenance, repairs, assembling, and disassembling equipment desired

• Experience in customer service or technical support desired

• Possess strong time management skills and the ability to work under a deadline

• Ability to work in a group setting and possess strong professional acumen

• Ability to work required schedules and travel to sites

The potential base pay range for this role is 32.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
