Description

A busy and expanding hospitality company in North County, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage financial operations for their multiple locations. This is an excellent role for someone with experience in the service industry who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP.

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple hospitality locations.

• Reconcile daily cash receipts, credit card payments, and bank statements.

• Prepare sales tax filings and assist with compliance reporting (e.g., state liquor tax filings).

• Monitor revenue trends, track inventory costs, and perform profitability analysis for individual locations.

• Provide financial support to management, assisting with cash flow management and operational budgeting.

  Requirements

• 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience, with a background in the hospitality or service industry preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Dynamics GP.

• Excellent understanding of payroll systems and processes for hourly workers (e.g., Paychex, ADP).

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
