WAYPOINT SERVICES Development Database Administrator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, the Development Database Administrator will support the overall goals of the organization by maintaining and managing all donor records, gift/pledge entries, processing and reporting, and receipting using Salesforce software. This position requires a high attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously in a multi-functional environment, and a strong desire to work efficiently and improve systems, processes, and beyond.
TIME COMMITMENT
This position is 40 hours per week and may accommodate a hybrid work schedule.
Up to $21.15/hr, depending on experience
PRINICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Gift Processing
o Process and record all pledges and gifts to the organization, including restricted/unrestricted, matching, corporate, individual, endowment, sponsorships, Capital Campaign, and in-kind
o Enter and track giving information for individual and corporate donors
o Produce acknowledgement letters
Database Management
o Make timely and accurate donor and data updates in Salesforce
o Manage reports and mailing lists to support the following teams: Resource Development and Marketing, Senior Management, and Endowment
o Create systems to track donor attraction, cultivation, and retention efforts
o Interact with donors, volunteers, and staff to answer questions/requests regarding contributions, contacts, and relationships
o Serve as the point person for the donor database and resolve data issues as they arise
o Produce reports for monthly reconciliation and year-end auditing with Accounting team
o Provide lunch, break, and paid time off coverage for Office Coordinator/Reception
o Other duties as assigned, including: various administrative tasks, accepting in-person donations, office projects, events, mailings, etc.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience
2+ years experienc in database management, Salesforce strongly preferred
High level of accuracy with data entry and gift processing
Ability to identify inefficient or ineffective processes and suggest improvements
Ability to handle confidential data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Able to work independently and as a team member with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication
Flexibility to handle changing priorities and the ability to thrive and work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Possess an understanding of the dynamics of homelessness, child abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse and mental illness and how these factors impact poverty and oppression, while demonstrating a sensitivity to working with families of diverse racial and cultural backgrounds or willing to learn
