Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Lead AV Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will be responsible for working with in team of AV technician with various skill sets. The goal is to install professional and quality AV systems throughout the DMV area. This team dynamic will with work with clients in successful manner completing projects on time and within budget requirements. Lead AV technician will work clients in professional manner that represents Convergint's Values and Beliefs. As a Lead AV Technician, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Lead AV Technician needs to be well versed in av signal flow, signal types, and architectural drawings for layout.

  • Lead Av Technician highly experience in physical rack wiring of components. To ensure cable infrastructure is installed complete and in professional workmanship manner.

  • Lead Av Technician should well verse in installing projectors, lifts, media walls, speaker array, microphones, video conferencing, touch panels, conference room tables for av set up and rigging.

  • Lead Av Technician should be able to solder, complete wiring terminations at the track and field devices.

  • Lead Av Technician require the ability to use scissor lifts, power hand tolls, ladders, material handling in safe manner. At times physical labor require the ability lift, stand in position for periods of time.

  • Lead AV Technician needs to be able to communicate issues with team, be able to handle complex problem to point of resolution, show leadership abilities, make completion dates, and work in professional manner with clients.

  • Lead Av technician needs to possess the knowledge of all phases of integration. Be able to upload system codes, to network systems, integrate other systems, and programming controls.

  • Lead AV Technician requires a strong background to trouble shoot av systems.

  • Lead AV Technician should possess the skills to commission and test systems with Clients.

  • Lead AV Technician should possess the ability of teaching and mentoring fellow team members.

What You’ll Need

  • The AV lead technician will play instrumental part with clients and with internal departments.

  • Must be able communicate well, understand scope of work and contract specifications.

  • Be able to share knowledge with other technicians of various skillsets.

  • Be able to work with other trades and communicates specified needs for system requirements to function in accordance with contract documents.

  • Certifications from on components from manufactures such as Extron, Crestron, Epson, Biamp, AMX, AXIA (etc.)

  • Ability to drop codes for AMX, Extron, Crestron and DSP.

  • Ability to interpret designs, wiring schematics, contract documents, manufacture data sheets.

  • Strong Computer skills

Requirements:

Minimum Experience: 3 years relevant

Certifications from on components from manufactures such as Extron, Crestron, Epson, Biamp, AMX, AXIA (etc.)

Ability to drop codes for AMX, Extron, Crestron and DSP.

  • Ability to interpret designs, wiring schematics, contract documents, manufacture data sheets.

  • Strong Computer skills

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

  • CTS certification
