Job Description

Oracle Health Data & Analytics Platform is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the HealtheIntent - Clinical Algorithm Services (CAS) team! Clinical Algorithm Builder & Clinical Algorithm represents in providing intelligent and scalable data services on the HDI platform which empower customers by decreasing the time required to derive insights, provide quality care and meet an ever-growing list of regulatory reporting requirements. This team create set of services which enables builder to create, edit, update, validate, and publish algorithms. This team also provide algorithm execution platform to execute published algorithm on defined schedule across selected client populations and ensuring that results are efficiently delivered for downstream consumption by other systems and teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Participate and contribute to design discussions to build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.

  • Implement and build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.

  • Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, to quality assurance, and to production.

  • Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high.

  • Optimize data processing pipelines for orders of magnitude higher throughput and faster latencies.

  • Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and troubleshoot software.

Experience needed:

  • 5+ years of relevant Software Engineering experience

  • High level of fluency with Java & Big Data Processing (Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies)

  • Proficient in object-oriented programming and MVC architecture

  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs

  • Expertise in writing well-modularized, maintainable software.

  • Experience in DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Maven etc

  • Experience building cloud-based platforms that enable application design, development, testing, and distribution.

  • Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.

  • Familiarity with micro-services architecture

Required qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
