Honeywell Sr IT Systems Architect in Charlotte, North Carolina

As a Sr IT Systems Architect here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing IT systems architecture to support the ENIT (Energy & Sustainability Solutions) business unit. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, identifying technical solutions, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the systems. Your expertise in IT architecture will contribute to the success of our business by enabling efficient and effective operations.

You will report directly to our IT Director and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the ENIT business unit by:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements

  • Designing and implementing IT systems architecture that aligns with business goals and objectives

  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms to meet business requirements

  • Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems

  • Providing technical guidance and support to development teams

  • Conducting system performance analysis and optimization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

• 8+ years of experience in IT systems architecture

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and security

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and reliable IT systems

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Experience in the energy or sustainability industry

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
