Ridgeview Medical Center Patient Scheduler OI in Chaska, Minnesota

This position is day shift: 8:00am-4:30pm. Purpose of Job This position is responsible for scheduling patients/procedures as well as greeting physicians and in-coming calls. Job Functions Schedules procedures. Answers and directs in-comingcalls, emails, and queries. Obtains scheduling sheets/information needed for procedures as requested. Assure appropriate coordination with other hospital departments when special surgical needs occur Performs various administrative duties to support surgery scheduling. Assist in ordering of office supplies Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education/Work Experience High school graduate or equivalent Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to effectively handle high-stress fast paced environment Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to multi-task Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations Ability to work autonomously and as a team Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills Strong customer service experience Attention to detail License/Certifications Preferred Qualifications Current CPR certification Scheduling experience Post-secondary education in a related field Familiar with medical terminology and surgical procedures Ridgeview Medical Center will not discriminate against or harass any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, citizenship, national origin, age, disability, military service, veteran status, genetic information, union membership, creed, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, status with regards to public assistance, membership in a local human rights commission, or any other category that may be protected by law.
