Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for scheduling production and setting work schedules. You will interview, hire, develop training schedules for new employees, and evaluate the performance of workers, focusing on attendance and productivity. Your role will include placing employees in appropriate positions to enhance productivity and implementing continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap and increase efficiency. You will lead the team in applying Good Manufacturing Practices for safe food and feed production.
Responsibilities
Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the processes, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, and monitoring personnel and resources.
Study methods, implement cost reductions, and develop reporting procedures and systems.
Facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points and foster cooperation within and between departments.
Coordinate efforts with the R&D team to troubleshoot product quality discrepancies and execute adjustments to ensure finished product quality.
Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results.
Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
Lead Incident Report Investigations, determine root causes using Continuous Improvement tools, and propose corrective actions.
Maintain food safety culture regarding food defense, quality, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for production and warehousing.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
Five or more years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Five or more years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in food production and processing.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Knowledge of food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This is a Permanent position based out of Chaska, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
