Cheektowaga. New Enterprise Stone and Lime. HMA Coordinator (Hot Mixed Ashpalt Production) $80,000/year.

The HMA Coordinator is responsible for delivering best in class and on time service to the HMA business in the New York Region. This is accomplished through the flawless execution at the HMA plant to achieve the production requirements and the management of an accurate sales forecast. The HMA Coordinator is the single point of accountability for communications between Customers, sales and operations. The HMA Coordinator will also focus on continuous improvement to best serve our Customers.

Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Coordinator - What Will You Do? * Communicate with Customers on their daily/hourly needs. * Work with Sales, Quality Control, and Plant personnel to provide material to customer. * Provide expertise in HMA to customers, as needed. * Be on site at any critical paving event. * Able to measure and estimate quantities for the customer and plant. * Work with the Sales Department to ensure each customer is given the best service. * Communicate to Plant Management any upcoming work in advance to ensure raw materials are available. * Be aware of plant capacities and schedule work accordingly. * Coordinate with Quality Control for product specifications. * Identify deficiencies and corrective actions within the operation. * Handle initial complaints and grievances from customers, agencies, and contractors. * Help to perform various aggregate and asphalt related tests as needed during production season. * Help with mix designs during winter months. * Keeps New York State asphalt certification * Communicates with QC personnel for any state work coming up so they can put orders into DOT by 3PM. * May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Who Are We Looking For? The ideal candidate will have a proven history in the Hot Mixed Asphalt Business (typically 5-7 years experience). This may include operations, manufacturing, preventative maintenance programming, capital improvements, sales, customer service, dispatch, and delivery.

Alternatively, a BS with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Hot Mixed Asphalt Plant, customer service or logistics functions.

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of mobile and stationary asphalt producing and paving equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and related database systems.
  • Excellent technology aptitude and experience with manufacturing systems and software as well as customer applications.
  • Computer skills in JWS (Apex) and JDE are a plus.
  • Valid drivers license with good driving record for insurability.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
