  A day in the life:

• Review blueprints, specifications and other documents to understand project requirements and scope.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and piping.

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs to determine accurate man hours and material requirements.

• Develop and submit competitive bids including detailed breakdowns of costs.

• Maintain records of estimates, bid documents, and bid submissions.

• Develop specific project bid strategies, techniques, advantages, etc. that will provide ColonialWebb with competitive bid day advantages

• Review estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation.

• Drafting detailed customer proposals.

  You must have :

• Possess mechanical and/or plumbing trade knowledge

• Possess industry experience in the same or similar field of five years

• Possess knowledge or commercial MEP and estimating

• Possess working knowledge of mechanical equipment, techniques, drawings and specifications

• Possess knowledge of building materials, engineering standards and codes

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency interfacing with technology, including Microsoft Office
