Nexstar Media Group Business Administrator in Chicago, Illinois
Nexstar is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Business Administrator for the Network Segment with primary focus on NewsNation, Multicast, and WGN-Radio business units. The Business Administrator will plan, direct, and coordinate services of the business including payroll, accounts payable, and human resources. This position reports directly to the business with a strong relationship with Human Resources and Accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer all bi-weekly payroll activities for 400 employees
Handle accounts payable including invoice entry and approval tracking
Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks and PTO balances
Manage bi-weekly union payroll, remittances, and dues
Prepare quarterly and annual union reports
Manage employee, union, and vendor contracts
Prepare and submit monthly Pcard reports to corporate office
Work closely with HR point of contact
Assist with employment processes: benefits, onboarding/orientation, leave benefits, and employment verifications
Manage worker’s compensation and auto insurance claims
Liaise with Senior Leadership and Corporate staff
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 3-5 years of experience in an office environment
Experience with Payroll, Human Resources, or Business Administration a plus
Union knowledge highly desirable
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Discreet nature with access to critical private information
Excellent critical thinking, creative problem solving, and organization skills
Confident and assertive when providing coaching, guidance, or direction
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 Annualized
