We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Contract Coordinator on our Finance team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

As a Contract Coordinator, you will provide contract administration support for the Finance Group. Responsibilities include contracts of any value, with emphasis on those involving large value with more complex performance, compliance and administrative issues. Works closely with the Offices of General Counsel and is responsible for contracts administration for existing contracts, new business and proposal efforts. Responsible directly for the management of the Contracts Lifecycle Management System, (CLM) p and for overall compliance of all contracts, in accordance with contract requirements, established policy, and procedures, applicable laws, and ethics requirements. Interacts with Strategic Sourcing, Business Units and Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under moderate supervision, oversees departmental contract development and enforces organizational principals of integrity and compliance by creating departmental contract practice standards and operating procedures providing direction and guidance of the contracting process.

  • Ensures that contracts and all accompanying documentation are entered into Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLM) and securely maintained with proper facilitation of contract revisions and final execution between Business Units and OGC for any issues relating to contracts.

  • Serves as the department’s point of contact on contractual matters and all business relating to the Contract Management System and works closely with the Contracts Team and internal subject matter experts to assist in ensuring project manager and client adherence to contractual obligations are being enforced.

  • Conducts contract strategy meetings with Senior Management on timelines relating to departmental needs and expectations, in addition to provide desktop assistance and specialized meetings as needed to identify specific issues in relation to completeness, accuracy or compliance of a contract.

  • Maintain deadlines on upcoming expiring agreements and ensures contract close-out is completed in a timely manner by communicating on an ongoing basis with Project Managers and running specialized reports for department and Senior Management.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3 year’s work experience in a contract management/administration role.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, such as problem solving, issue spotting and decision making.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers and third parties.

  • Ability to work independently as well as ability to work collaboratively to support the business of the department and other members within the organization.

  • Strong work ethic, with demonstrated ability to manage and turn around significant workflows in an effective and timely manner.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects requiring frequent communication and prioritization.

  • Ability to be discreet and maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
