Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. This position oversees the financial activities for the enterprise. The position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible to the management and development of the finance and accounting team. This position will play an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth in the business and serves as the primary finance liaison to field operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Supports strategic initiatives and advises on financial implications
Oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls
Monitor business performance with tracking tools, analyze and present detailed financial statements, reports, and forecasts to the Executive Committee and partner group
Monitor and manage cash flow, financial activities, and making recommendations for change where needed
Develop, research and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the firm’s short-term and long-term goals
Research economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
Manage finance and accounting personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring financial data accuracy and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to drive firm performance
Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher with major of finance or accounting.
CPA or MBA preferred
More than 10 years working experience in finance and accounting, at least 3 years working experience in AEC, Infrastructure, or Professional Services companies.
3+ years' experience managing a finance and accounting team
Experience working for a National Company with experience managing multiple state and federal regulatory environment.
Experience with FAR audits a plus
Demonstrated attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, word, some power point experience.
