Intern, Electrical Engineering

ABOUT THE PROGRAM – Summer 2025 Internship

    ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

    Applicants will be considered for internships with various engineering departments across the organization. In the past, our engineering interns have joined teams such as:

  • OPERATIONS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: You will focus on high-level projects affecting the Transmission, Substation and Collection systems – ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV . A primary focus of the role is troubleshooting high voltage electrical faults, as well as developing programs and maintenance practices to prevent unnecessary site downtime.

  • RENEWABLE PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: Oversees the technical design, evaluation and construction of commercial and utility-scale wind, solar, thermal, and storage projects.

  • TRANSMISSION AND COMMERCIAL ANALYTICS: Manages all interconnection and transmission aspects of generation projects. Assesses and communicates information about the energy markets using quantitative models, independent market studies, market risk analysis and forecasts.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026.

  • Majoring in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

  • Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
