Job Description Summary
As a Senior Software Quality Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, automating and executing test plans and test cases to ensure quality and reliability of GEHC products. You will collaborate closely with developers to design test cases, cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, program management to ensure quality and timely release. The Senior Software Quality Test Engineer works independently and contributes to the immediate team, other teams across businesses and contributes to quality engineering discussions.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members
Identify issues early, troubleshoot problems and work closely with development teams to resolve them
Understand and review application features and defects to generate challenging test cases
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality release
Ensure all test deliverables are of quality and compliance to GEHC QMS guidelines
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Work with development and services teams to reproduce challenging software issues
Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process
Create, maintain and manage test environments that replicate production environment
Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this position
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Mentor and guide junior test engineers with their testing and automation
Qualifications/ Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with minimum years of experience of 4 years
Knowledge of creating test plans and test cases for different types of testing, such as functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Has extensive experience in Test Automation. Working knowledge of .Net, Selenium, Specflow, White UI
Working knowledge of agile development practices, including participating in scrum meetings and adapting test approaches in an agile environment.
Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based testing
Experience maintaining and deploying VMs using vcenter, vmware
Have sound understanding of networking terminologies (Lan, WAN, TCPIP)
Working knowledge of test & defect management tools such as (ALM, Rally)
Working knowledge of code review tool and version control using collaborator and perforce.
Familiar with programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, SQL/Sybase, HTML5, CSS
Desired Characteristics
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) preferred
Experience in healthcare technologies like HL7 & DICOM
Familiar with CI/CD - DevOps using Jenkins, GIT
Experience working on software projects in the Healthcare Domain
Master’s Degree/ PHD in Computer Science
