About the team

At U.S. Bank the People Technology team is responsible for bringing exciting changes to improve the employee experience that enable business success across various U.S. Bank business lines. We are looking for an experienced Workday Engineer / Architect to lead solutions using a best-in-class approach. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Workday Product Management and Strategy to improve the value customers get with Workday products through advisory, planning and implementation of modules and capabilities by documenting requirements, mapping processes, gathering system data and converting data into format required for integration

  • Ensures SDLC standards are maintained (Requirements, Design, Validation, Demo, UAT, and deployment)

  • Lead Workday strategy across additional modules including Prism, Adaptive, Extend, APIs and RAAS by implementing current use cases and adding new solutions based on business and/or HR objectives.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HR reporting, providing guidance to the HR team and implementing best practices.

  • Provide end to end solution and design details during Architect Sessions

  • Communicate effectively with business line owners and leadership

  • Actively foster internal relationships, share knowledge, and mentor others to grow

  • Identify business critical Workday new features released (R1 & R2 releases) and demo the same to the HRIS & Business teams

  • Assist with tasks such as: system strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to-be business process designs, prototype demonstration, functional configuration, and testing as it relates to Workday HCM

  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations

  • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points

  • Mentor and guide more junior colleagues

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.

  • At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience cross delivering on one or more of the following Workday HCM modules: Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management

  • Knowledge of general SaaS architecture and related components in deploying SaaS solutions covering data, infrastructure, security

  • Experience as a solution architect on at least 1 full life-cycle implementation of Workday HCM

  • 1-2 large end-to-end implementations or 3-4 small end-to-end implementations within HCM, with a demonstrated deep knowledge of configuration and architecture

  • Experience as a lead consultant on Workday HCM projects a plus

  • Current certification in Workday HCM

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective

  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence

  • Ability to find the “win-win” in problem solving

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Sense of curiosity with desire to continuously learn and grow

  • Creativity, confidence, and flexibility

  • Experience with implementation and delivery using Workday tools including Prism, Adaptive, Extend, APIs, RaaS

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
