Collins Aerospace - Advanced Structures (“AS”), seeks an Associate Director, SIOP & Materials Management to drive Demand / Supply processes and results by optimizing performance across the AS SIOP cycle. This pivotal role involves establishing process maturity, standard work, digital tools and best practices across the areas below by spearheading initiatives and driving performance by fostering collaboration with all stakeholders.

What YOU will do

The focus of this role is to transform current Demand, Supply practices by collaborating across functions within AS and Collins to deliver superior results and accurate forecasts within the SIOP cycle:

  • Demand / Supply Alignment - Own the demand / supply and Master Production Schedule build / sell alignment & forecasting process and results:

  • Deliver a weekly report communicating status and the impacts of any changes

  • Incorporate details in to monthly Executive Leadership presentations

  • Be an expert in understanding the potential impacts of industry, customer, and supplier dynamics on forecasted demand and supply in the short, medium, and long term.

  • Be engaged in the Collins Vehicle Production System (VPS) process, inputs, outputs and potential impacts to AS.

  • Inventory Optimization – Lead all inventory optimization initiatives across AS that lead to achieving 2025 and beyond goals and objectives.

  • Delivery Assurance

  • On Time Delivery and Past Due Sales - Create a detailed understanding and process supporting accurate results, latest estimates and variances to Plan & prior estimate for customer on time delivery and past due sales with supporting detailed recovery plans, risks and opportunities on a monthly basis. Monitor results on a weekly basis with key stakeholders.

  • Lead the monthly SIOP cycle reporting process for On Time Delivery and Past Due Sales (preliminary actuals, working sessions, actuals, latest estimates and SIOP reviews all leading to AS Executive SIOP)

  • Data Analytics & Digital Tools - Deliver a monthly roadmap to drive accurate, standardized and streamlined data analytics and automated digital tools to improve the above activities to enable agile decision-making and proactive risk management.

  • AS Executive SIOP, ELT Inventory and QBR - Deliver weekly and monthly data, presentations and speaker notes to support Executive Leadership.

  • Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally (when circumstances permit)

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

Qualifications you must have

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma or CORE

  • SIOP leadership experience or equivalent

Skills we value

  • SAP or other ERP experience in materials, production, and logistics modules

  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)

  • Experience working with global cross functional teams in a matrixed organization

  • Experience using Tableau for creating data vizualizations and reports

  • Advanced Analytical skills with experience interpreting data

The salary range for this role is 162,000 USD - 326,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
