UC HEALTH LLC Administrative Fellow in CINCINNATI, Ohio

The UC Health Administrative Fellowship is targeted toward Masters-Level graduates and Masters Candidates in healthcare administration, business administration, and public health with focused tracts such as hospital operations at either UC Medical Center or West Chester Hospital or Quality and Performance Improvement through the Chief Medical Office. This one-year fellowship's purpose is to develop strong administrative leaders for UC Health and the healthcare industry by providing them with practical skills and experience with will help prepare them for the challenges of leadership in the healthcare industry. This experience can serve as a requirement of a Masters program for graduation or as a post-graduate training program.Application Requirements: Please upload the following documents

  • Assigned significant projects that support business operations, and will recommend, design, complete, and implement a significant project relating to hospital services administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams and PowerPoint upon entry into the position.
  • Completes assigned projects/creation of materials including creation of narrative writings, PowerPoints, Excel, and executive summaries.
  • Gathers, interprets, and analyzes data (financial, clinical, or other) to develop opportunities/action items and recommendations for leadership.
  • Participates in associate, physician, leadership, and senior leadership interactions, including emails and meetings.
  • Oversees quality/safety project work to assist in tracking compliance metrics.
  • Completes all assigned tasks and applies professional judgment and discretion related to regulatory agencies and assists in the ongoing implementation of quality care standards to ensure the facility has met all regulatory agency requirements.
  • Collaborates with area schools to develop and manage clinical and non-clinical student career development programs to increase future associate pipeline.
  • Assists with career fairs and recruitment events, as needed.
  • Attends various hospital committees to understand their function and provide input and consultation, participates in employee/community engagement activity, and travel as directed to various sites/and other duties as assigned.
  • Cultivates a comprehensive understanding of the institutional, residency, and fellowship Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements.
  • After initial training, and with proper support, retains knowledge to complete tasks with less direct oversight from the senior leadership team and/or the office of business operations.
  • Incorporates feedback from the senior leadership team and/or the office of business operations, showing improvement and progression in assigned tasks/activities.
  • Participates in meetings with colleagues, to discuss ongoing key drivers of initiatives and deliverables.
  • Upholds all principles of confidentiality, including personal health information (PHI), to the fullest extent.
  • Works closely with appropriate team(s) and completes assigned tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provides proper attention to detail and sends documents to hospital stakeholders within the assigned timeframe.
