Employs a formalized process to develop data collection and analysis methods to determine the educational needs of individuals/ groups at the point of care. Formal assessment of learning needs is completed at least once each year for the point of care. * Design and Outcomes- Assumes leadership role at the departmental level in planning, designing, and implementing educational initiatives to achieve expected outcomes at the point of care. Applies the ADDIE model to planned education in order to prescribe a variety of strategies, alternatives and resources to accomplish learning goals Partners with other point of care leaders to demonstrate effective resource management at the point of care. * Consultation and Implementation- Synthesizes information, provides consultation and feedback, both formal and informal, to influence the implementation of learning plans. Enhance the abilities of others to learn by identifying and removing barriers to learning. Institutes alternative learning opportunities at the point of care. * Evaluation- Designs and ensures a comprehensive evaluation of the education activity and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes at the point of care level. * Professional Development- Demonstrates and maintains depth and breadth of clinical knowledge, skills and competence in the point of care setting. Assists at point of care to effectively provide education techniques to enhance learning at the point of care. Evaluates his/her own practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, statues, rules and regulations. JOB QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in a related field AND Master's degree in a related field * 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline * OH License in clinical discipline * Education Specialist I Required: * Bachelor's degree in Nursing * Minimum 2 years' experience in related job discipline Market Leading Benefits Including*: * Medical coverage starting day 1 of employment.
